ALIENS - Swamp Brujo Scene

This seven-minute Vimeo excerpt is from José Torres-Tama's latest one-man show called ALIENS, IMMIGRANTS & OTHER EVILDOERS. Please note that this excerpt is bilingual, in Spanish and in English. This excerpt is from the beginning of the show, and it features José as a swamp brujo/witchdoctor character performing an Ode to the "Green Alien" immigrant workers of New Orleans, many of whom died rebuilding the city post-Katrina. At the beginning, the character performs a satirical version of Saint James Infirmary, ala Louis Armstrong, and the words have been changed to serve as an ode to the immigrant. Then, the character performs a satirical piece on the many "alien green" things that abound today.
