This information will be viewable by the public.: The Louis Armstrong Society Jazz Band has been touring the U.S. since 2001. The society is a "secret" society, much like the krewes in their home city of New Orleans. The performers are voted on by the society based on their style and spirit which most closely represents the spirit of Louis. Recently the band completed their current CD at Columbia University based on a tribute to the great mythologist, Joseph Campbell. See website for more details.

Please summarize the activities for touring or school activities.: We offer a brief history on Louis Armstrong... his life and career.This is followed by a demonstration of the various jazz instruments used as well as how the instruments sound together in concert.

Please provide the details of your technical rider. Indicate where you have flexibility.: We require a small sound system with 2 microphones. If possible, we would make use of any acoustic piano, but we can provide an electric keyboard if needed.

Required to give a dollar fee range. Please indicate your range with concise descriptions of activities at the upper and lower ends of the scale: Up to 2 hour concert: $3500 within 1/2 day drive of New Orleans. Longer travel requires higher fee up to $10,000.

Optional school programs are $1000/ hour in conjunction with concert and within 6 hours of performance
