Doug Duffey was inducted into the "Louisiana Hall of Fame" in April 2001; he was inducted into the "Blues Hall of Fame" in August 2009.

Born in Monroe, Louisiana, Doug Duffey has been singing, playing piano, and composing professionally since the age of 14. His career spans 45 years and has carried him from his native Louisiana to international success.

He has been composing since his early teens. His songs reflect his Louisiana roots, but his is an original hybrid mix and trans-genre style. Bridging the urban with the rural, the modern with the traditional, the present with the past, each song tells a story, with lyrics written from 'real life' experiences and observations.

With a catalogue of hundreds of songs, Duffey has been called "one of the most prolific songwriters living in Louisiana". Marcia Ball, George Clinton and many international artists have recorded his songs. He has recorded 7 CDs of all original material to date.

A professional performer since the age of 14, he has mastered his craft through over 4.5 decades on stage. Raised on the club circuit, he’s honed his stage skills through performing and touring: from Louisiana juke-joints to international jazz & blues festivals- from solo gigs on Bourbon Street to 5 star European hotels- he's excited crowds for over 5 decades.

The consummate artist and entertainer, he performs to enthusiastic club and festival crowds internationally. He is a powerhouse! Anyone who has ever seen him perform knows that Doug Duffey IS the real thing!

I have been touring primarily in Europe for the past 16 years, performing in concert halls, music clubs, hotels and festivals. I have performed at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival many times [since 1980]- as well as many local, regional, and European festivals.

I can present various shows. My specialties being my original music; Louisiana R&B/R&R standards; Blues, Jazz, & Traditional.

I require a full PA system [mics, mic stands, speakers, mixer, monitors, and cables] and lighting suitable to the venue [unless otherwise discussed*]
i prefer an acoustic grand piano for solo performances- but can provide my own 88 weighted key electric piano, when a grand is not available.
