Writers and Playwrights

Writers of fiction, poetry, and literary nonfiction submit should submit samples of 10 single-spaced poems, 20 double-spaced pages of fiction or nonfiction, or a combination not to exceed 20 pages. If you submit an excerpt from a novel or a long nonfiction work, add a one-page synopsis of the work as a whole. Playwrights should submit five copies of a double-spaced script not to exceed 20 pages. One-act or full-length plays may be submitted. All work must have been written within the past five years. Label the manuscript with your name and list the title(s) of the work(s) submitted, date written, and, if appropriate, date published. Also, if possible, submit a DVD or CD of a recent workshop, reading, or other activity where you shared your work.
