The Louisiana Touring Artists Directory is a compendium of Louisiana professional artists and companies who are able to conduct performances and other arts programming, not only in communities across the state but across the nation. These artists have a touring history of at least five years. The directory is a valuable resource for a variety of organizations that program the arts in their communities, including local arts councils, performing arts centers, schools, colleges and universities, community concert series and festivals. Although inclusion in the directory does not guarantee employment or grant funding, it gives artists increased visibility and is an endorsement of their artistic merit and so strengthens their ability to get work. **Also, the LPN, in partnership with the LPA, plans to offer professional development workshops open exclusively to directory artists.**
